Uploading Images  &  Files

  • In your WordPress dashboard, go to Media > Add Media Files

  • Drag and drop your images or files  into the box, or click Select Files to upload from your computer

  • Once uploaded, click the image to open its details.
  • Fill in the Alt Text field — this helps with accessibility and SEO (for example: “Jaime-Ann working with a client”).
  • When editing your pages, click on any image module in Divi > select Media Library > choose your uploaded image

Tips for great-looking images:

  • Resize large photos before uploading. Aim for around 1280px wide for banners, 1980px for full-width banner, or 800px for smaller images.
  • Keep file sizes under 500KB to keep your site fast.
  • Use descriptive filenames (like speech-therapy-session.jpg instead of IMG_1234.jpg).
  • JPEG for photos, PNG for logos or transparent backgrounds.

If you want to upload brochures, forms, or info sheets:

  • Go to Media > Add Media File and upload your PDF or document.
  • Click the file to open its details
  • Copy the File URL on the right-hand side — this is your document’s web link.

  • Next, on your page or post, highlight the text or button where you want the link You can then highlight the text you want to link to an internal page, click the link icon & paste the File URL.

  • Save or update the page.
